I was cleaning my snails container and my very long train of thought came to this: which do people on this forum like most: Snails or Slugs?
(As most of you can see, I was feeling very bored and random today lol ;D )

Hmmmm. In terms of keeping them as pets I tend to think you see snails more often, as slugs often hide away and bury themselves more. I prefer to keep snails. In the wild it's a close one, but perhaps snails, though I really am very fond of slugs. However if we include marine species I adore sea-slugs (nudibranchs).

I've really fallen for slugs (as people probably already guessed, judging by how much I babble on about my little sluggies all around the forums...) I, too, adore nudibranchs! If they weren't so damn picky eaters (Portuguese man-o-wars for dinner every day, anyone?!), I'd take some as pets. Snails are easier to keep, of course, starting from very simple handling issues one might run into with slugs. If a slug is sitting tight somewhere and you really need him to move to clean the box or whatever... that slug is gonna keep sitting there as long as he wants, or you need to risk hurting him a little to move him. I've solved this with plastic tweezers: I put the tweezers against the slug's tail on both sides, and press ever so lightly, just enough to get the slug moving as it thinks something is about to grab its tail.
I might have to say I prefer slugs just a tiny bit over snails, now that I've gotten to know them better. My slugs are a very active species, so they're fun to observe. I love both, though.

Snails! All kinds of snails; fresh water, salt water, terrestrial. I don't like slugs at all. They are too sticky to keep as pets and they don'thave beautiful shells. Simple. Re nudibraches: I have a marine snail callled elephant snail or shield snail (Scutus antipodes). They have a mantle that cover their little shell, resemble nudibranches and are easy to keep

Slugs kinda freak me out a bit. I have no Idea way. I think it is the thicker slim. I can't even touch one. But I love the yellow slug I saw on Rosie's site. Banana slugs. But snails rule. Little turtles without legs . vallery

Since finding and handling leopard slugs I lost my fear of slugs completely. I can't choose between snails or slugs now. Love them both ;D. vallery

I recently bought some Veronicella Sloanei (Pancake slugs) I have to say that they're a very underated creature. They're so much better than what people make them out to be, it's quite sad that people always talk down on them :/ So I have to say I like both

But slugs are just snails without shells. Not entirely, because slugs' internal organs are, well, internal, but a snail's organs are in the shell not the body, if I have that straight.

Between the two, I prefer snails because of my history with them and the fact that they are hardier and easier to handle.
Edit: I accidentally hit both when I meant Snails!!!!!! 4ever!!!!!!!
