I like to see the snails grow, so I prefer to start with small ones. Babies are often more sensitive to humidity and temperature, so it may be harder to keep them. I also like juveniles/subadults a lot. When snails grow up they tend to be less active and slower. I think the ideal size of a snail is 5-10 cm, but I do like all sizes and all ages.

I think babies are super cute, but I prefer large adults. And so I always buy the super cute babies and then enjoy watching them become large adults ;D

i'm not sure i can answer the poll I love watching the babies grow up into large adults (especially margies i really really do love my margies) but i LOVE my big adults! i think my answer would be every single life stage as my choice (perhaps just large adults for the fulica but unless rescued i do prefer to have them from babies...) I always hate selling on my baby margies i'ld much rather keep them all for myself tee hee but i know i can't and so off the go to new homes. i love them from the second they crawl out of the soil/moss often with part of the egg shell stuck over their shells like a mini hat to the full giant adults! and they grow so quickly!

I love to watch them grow from the little buttons when they arrive to the great big beefcakes a few months later. Never having seen a tiger or margie before I am surprised and pleased at the sheer size of them!

Ive never seen a large adult in the flesh yet seen plenty of pics voted for the large ones, have only just got 4 at 3-4cm looking forward to see them grow, most animals i get are young like to see them grow have always done this with my fish and reptiles and in all cases they get better with age.

What a hard question to answer! I really love my adult a. fulica's chubby little faces... my 'teenage' a. marginata ovum seem more gangly in looks and behaviour. I am new to snails and this just may be the species differences anyway! I am sure I would love babies too.. but have never seen any yet

Hmmm.... Babies are so adorable, but fragile and will need more resources to keep alive. Also more of a chance of escaping and getting lost too. They also come in numbers, for most species, so beware! just kidding lol They are easier to clean after in for my case. Adults by the way, are more tough and resistant. I can handle adults better and not much damage is done if I accidentally drop one compared to a Baby. Adults also sleep and eat more, in my understanding. It is also more of a hassle to clean up their droppings and slime stains too. Sometimes I wonder if all they do one day is eat, sleep, and poop....

I wish I could vote for all of them. I love any size or age of snail!

I like both, but I do have a particular preference for handling large, bulky adults.

I like the giant adults and the tiiiiny little babies. They have the sweetest faces, all huge eyes and tiny heads.
