You can find brown, rose (and possibly yellow?) unbanded nemoralis snails in the bushes and grass along the southern portion of Pringle Creek in Whitby, ON. For Yellow unbanded, I've been able to find these in Pickering grass patches as well as other biking trails. Markham may also have unbanded cepaeas, but I can't remember the exact location... If you want them right now you'll be better off buying/trading them from someone since it's too cold to go snail hunting now as you obviously already know, but I thought I would just let you know where you can find them wild around here incase you decide to wait until the snail hunting season resumes again in spring.
