I'm kbanimallover13, in real life Kelsey . I am thirteen years old, and am in the 8th grade in home school. I became interested in snails when I had to observe a snail for my science a couple of months ago. I have 5-7 baby garden snails, 3 adult garden snails, and 6 non-permanent baby garden snails. I started keeping snails in August, and have kind of been gathering and releasing snails from around my home. I could have had many more baby snails hatched from eggs, but instead set them outside before the cold weather hits (don't worry, all native species.) In addition to my snails, I have two dogs and a cat. I absolutely LOVE any kind of animal (easy to tell from my user name.) I love to read, play the piano and the harmonica, and spend time with my pets. I am very excited about being on the forum!

The title of the photo is "Snail Mail", so it is supposed to be carrying mail.

The title of the photo is "Snail Mail", so it is supposed to be carrying mail. I think it's a little mail sack with letters poking out the top Very cute! Also welcome to the forum!

Hello, Kelsey, and welcome to the forum! I'm also relatively new here, and have found everyone to be very welcoming and helpful. Do you have any photos you could share of your snails? If so, I'd love to see them! If not, no worries, of course. Again, welcome! I'm glad you could join us.

Aww, they're adorable! I have aspersas (garden snails) too, and haven't had any baby snails yet. I know many people think the aspersas are too plain, but something about them is just adorable to me - even more so with babies, of course! Thank you for sharing the pics!

Thanks! Before I joined the forum, I thought I was the only person in the world who thought snails were cute. I actually did not hatch those babies, I found them in my neighbors flowerbed. She is very happy to be rid of them! I did though have a clutch of eggs that hatched, although I released them.

A couple of other things I failed to mention about myself: I live in OK, USA I am very involved in my church- an independent fundamental Baptist church We moved to Oklahoma from Texas so that my dad could attend a Baptist Bible College My family is going to be Baptist missionaries to the Muslims on the island of Mindanaou, Philippines When I become an adult, I am going to be a missionary doctor, I'm hoping to India, but it depends on what the Lord Jesus Christ wants.

(that and the "goodmorning USA" song)

I couldn't get them in the order I wanted them in, but oh well. The first is an old song sung by modern singers, I think. The second is a modern song sung by George Strait. The last was sung by an OLD Texas country singer, Gene Autry.
