The forum requires images to be hosted elewhere in order to include images in posts.
This is a quick guide on how to get images from flickr and facebook albums to your posts.
The first step is to get the image url/location
Flickr:
if you don't already have an account first you need to create an account, click sign up in the left hand corner:
Fill in your details and click create account:
Click through the "next" pages:
Click get started:
Click upload in the top bar:
Either drag and drop the pictures you want to upload into the black space or click choose photos and videos to browse your files:
A preview will appear click upload in the right hand corner:
Wait for them to upload...
Once uploaded the images will be shown as below (this is your photostream if you ever need to get back to this page). Click on the image you want to uplaod the the forum.
Click the dowload symbol in the bottom right corner
Selet View all sizes - this is very important the other options will just download the image to your computer, this option will take you to the page you need.
Choose an appropriate size (i find 800 to be a good size) then right click on the image and select Copy image location (firefox) copy image url (Chrome) or in IE select properties copy the address/url it should end with an image file name. This will save the url to your clipboard.
Then follow the steps for adding an image to the forum once you have an image url.
Facebook:
Open the image you would like to share in facebook viewer (simply click on the image you want to share in an album/on your timeline etc). right click and select copy image location (firefox) copy image url (Chrome) or in IE select properties copy the address/url it should end with an image file name. This will save the url to your clipboard.
On the forum one you have the image Url:
Either create a new thread or reply to a post (note not quick reply but the reply button). click the landscape picture icon.
Paste the url you copied into the image url box and then insert image
You should see something like this, click preview:
If it has worked you should be able to see your image int he preivew. Finish your post then click create post
