I recently asked my mom about eBay and she agreed to buy snails if it's reasonable. I don't know what kind to get but I know GALS are not allowed in Canada. Please help!

If you see anything cool let us know. Most of the land snails on ebay are being sold within/to other countries and most sellers will not ship to the US.

Nothing for Canada, it's all aquatic snails and snail jewellery.

That's pretty much the same case here. I would have way more snails by now if it wasn't lol. At least you have Cepaea.
People may start posting listings on ebay in the spring and summer though. In the winter usually no one is looking for/selling them, or dont want to ship in cold weather.

you could also maybe ask your mum for a guide to the snails of canada as a present? that should include what species are in your area and what sort of environments they occupy then in warmer weather you could go on a snail hunt.

I know you're mentioning buying, but if you don't mind hunting there's lot's to discover! Species will vary from province to province, but British Columbia is definitely the super star when it comes onto snail diversity. Ontario has quite a lot too, such as: neohelix albolabris, webbhelix multineata, anguispira alternata, anguispira kochi, triodopsis vulgata, xerolenta obvia, oxychilus alliarius and more. I'm not too knowledgeable with other provinces, but if you live in either of those two mentioned you'll have an idea of what you can catch. I keep several species and I'm always looking to grow my collection diversity.

Wild caught snails are a great way to go! They are easy to care for, and have their own little personalities!
