Hello, I am looking for snail enthusiasts that are based in Florida, USA. Mainly looking to buy, trade, collaborate with, etc., legally. Intrastate transportation of non-injurious, non-protected snails is completely legal.

There's actually quite a number of them here, so it should only be a short matter of time before they see this thread.

I have about 50 adult Zachrysia provisoria + ~150 babies, 25 Bulimulus guadalupensis, 2 Bradybaena similaris, and 2 Praticolella mexicana. I will be trading some of my Bulimulus for some Caracolus soon.
I am trying to get ahold of Z. trinitaria and a few slugs or semislugs.
I'm in Ft. Myers.

drowningindemons, you can trade virtually any snail or slug species within Florida that is not protected and not listed as injurious, such as Achatina, Helix/Cornu, Liguus (I believe is protected), etc. What you have listed are the snails you are allowed to ship outside of the state without permits. So, even though you would need a permit to ship Zachrysia out of state, you would not need a permit to ship them intrastate (within Florida only).

We really should talk to someone about getting special permission to get a captive raised population of Liguus going. We would only need to start with a few individuals... I wonder if the Florida Fish and wildlife would be up for allowing liguus permits lol.

Thanks for the clarification

You'd probably have to work for the USDA or FWC to do something like that. Would be awesome to be involved in a project like that, though.
drowningindemons, I may have some to trade if you have any Leatherleaf slugs?
