Hello! I have a recipe that my snails seem to like including the Bulimulus. Grate a apple with a cheese grater, it will look like apple sauce. Microwave 5 blueberries for ten seconds (Be careful, they might explode) Keep microwaving for 3 seconds at a time, until they are a purple liquid Mix in to the apple sauce Chop up some carrots and mix in Serve to your snails! My snails like it quite a bit and I'm sure that yours will to.

This basically sounds like blueberry, apple and carrot soup.

Okay I have tried a new recipe that the bulimulus seem to like also: Organic dog treats, any kind as long as they are safe for snails. Break them up into little pieces Spray them with water Mush them up Add blueberries Microwave for ten seconds Mush them again Repeat until a good conscience All my snails like this one, it could be used if you receive snails in the mail and they need some strength.

A protein mix sounds interesting. Perhaps my newly hatched rosy's could get accustomed to it with no issues.
I do think bulimulus could make a pretty decent pet snail species in the US. It's legal, a few members seem to have it already, and I imagine once they start breeding others may easily obtain new pets via sales.

It's nice to have some options for some of us who have carniverous/omnivorous snails. mangoandlemon

Here is my protein snail mix. I tested out a bunch of options but this is the one that keeps snails and me happiest. I feed it twice a day as I almost always have growing babies and it is crucial to good big shell growth. Adults eat it too. I have 8 species of snails and everyone loves it.
20% Corn Meal 1/2 Cup Not Quite Full 20% Ground Oats 1/2 Cup Not Quite Full 20% Ground Hemp Seed 1/2 Cup Not Quite Full 10% Ground Sunflower Kernels 1/4 Cup Not Quite Full 10% Ground Pumpkin Seed 1/4 Cup Not Quite Full 10% Calcium Powder 1/4 Cup Not Quite Full 10% Flavor Powder 1/4 Cup Not Quite Full
"flavor" is at your discretion. You can leave it out. I have gotten banana flour, Sweet potato flour, dried beet, dried hibiscus, dried apple flour, spiritulina, etc. It just adds a little flavor to the mix so I can keep 4 or 5 flavors on hand so they get a little variety all the time.

I saw a recipe on YouTube (not my idea!) and it has a lot of calcium in it:
-a few mini Milkbones (or any snail-safe dog treat) -a few chunks of cuttlebone
-Put the milkbones in a plastic baggy and break into a powder with a kitchen mallet or hammer -Repeat with the cuttlebone -Pour powders into bowl -Add water until it is a mash like consistency -Feed to your snails!

I have a superfood powdered formula recipe used for Orthalicus and Caracolus and it's very healthy.
The only downside is that it costs about $83 USD for 2 lbs (32 oz) of it. I was thinking of making a new video about it, but I am very doubtful that anybody would actually try to replicate it and pay this much for snail food.
