Yes, it was really quite the enjoyable experience. This would happen to be America's northern neighbour: Canada! 🍁

Nice job! The brownish/purple ones look great! I've never seen Cepaea quite like that color before. I also like the orange shelled ones with the single stripe, that might be my favorite Cepaea form.

Nice. I've yet to find the all-yellow morph in c. nemoralis anywhere... But.. have you ever found one with THREE stripes? Also if you got a kitchen scale... weigh the biggest one, we're shooting for 6.6g in the records section.

Brown is normally quite hard to find in my region, but not in this spot! Nice. I've yet to find the all-yellow morph in c. nemoralis anywhere... But.. have you ever found one with THREE stripes? Also if you got a kitchen scale... weigh the biggest one, we're shooting for 6.6g in the records section. That's odd, I thought I've seen you with a zero-banded yellow morph in one of your posts before? Or maybe it was a cepaea hortensis? As for the three banded morphs, I may have possibly ran into them before, but I don't really pay much attention to the band count on yellow morphs. Thankfully, I do keep a postal scale handy to weigh my parcels, so I'll try to weigh some of the fattest snails I've caught when I get the time and see how they compare to my previous 4g lightweights.

Yeah, we have hortensis with zero bands, never seen the nemoralis yet! The three one is quite odd looking, there's a huge gap! I will try and get a decent photo. Need to get a pic of the weird flat one I hatched too!

Interesting! I have seen these on occasion in the wild, but it's not too often that I run into them. Great photo.

They certainly do! It's convenient to use as a temporary substrate while you're cleaning out their vivariums or bathing them, but it ends up with holes after a cleaning session.
