So one of the garden snails in not in the tank, he must have been on the lid and crept off while i was cleaning. I can't find him anywhere now, does anyone know of a way to lure them out??

Um.... Put a slice of their favourite food on the floor maybe? Preferably something that has a distinct smell.

I know this is supposed to be a serious topic, but man! This title is hilarious!

The problem is that houses are usually dry and make snails estivate, so bait likely won't work. It probably did not get very far though. I would check all the "dark" places in the room (under a couch/desk/drawer, behind a bookshelf, etc.)
It may also be buried somewhere under the soil if it is deep enough.
