Hey there, Last night I went out looking for snails and what I found was amazing! I grabed my torch and had a look and saw no snails But I went on top of the wall and saw a hole in the brick so I looked down and saw a huge amount of snails! (7) So I took 3 and put them inside and made a home for them, they look really happy! Tonight I am going to look for some more! See photos!

Did you make this yourself? If so can you tell me how to make something like this... Crushed egg shells are not cutting it. Thanks!

Here's a story, I was collecting slugs and I was letting the last one go. It's was dark out. I shook it out, and replaced the container back in my bag. We then traveled all the home on a plane. When I was unpacking my back and grabbed the container I instead felt a slug! It was fine and lived with me until it died. Do the guys on the scanner allow snails to go to different places or can they make a pest problem? Thanks

Sometimes we found grove snails in the garden with broken shells, we bring them in to shelter them from predators while they heal then we release them back. Thats nice!

Achatina fulica is a great snail for first-time GALS owners. Ok thanks! Do you have any more information about this snail? Thank you!

Species include the common fulica and its variants. Some insist they are fine at room temperature but I'd probably install a heat mat with my home being quite cold during the year. Hehe, that reminds me, there was an old thread here where many of us discussed what we all meant by "room temperature". It was everything from +17 to +25 Celsius! Fulica get ill at below 20 so if one's room temperature is that or less, heating is necessary for them. I too have a bit of heating added for my fulica to ensure they always have a warm spot to go to, as all giant snails enjoy having a warmer and a cooler end in the tank. They gather on the heat mat when they're pregnant, and sometimes when they have trouble digesting food. Thank you!

Previously I've read into them briefly and people have brought up issues with fluctuating temperature needs. Eg. a drop in some degrees between day and night temps. Someone with more hands on experience will be to clarify this, or dismiss this. Ok , Thank you.
