Hi Jeffbert and welcome to the forum! There's currently no pictures attached do you need some help with getting the pictures to show? edit: I can see the problem, when including a picture link to show on the forum from flickr you need to get the picture to open in a particular size on a particular page So for your link here: www.flickr.com/photos/101345827@N04/9681671796/lightbox/ you need to right click on it, select a size and then right click on the picture that appears and select "copy image location" and copy that into the image link. I'll correct your post for you in this case so others can see them

No, the bottom one is not Cepaea nemoralis, but Arianta arbustorum. These snails are very common i Norway - the most common snail that grows to more than 2cm.

You should take a picture of the first snail's underside to see if it has a closed, open or partial umbilicus and an eye level photo to see whether it has a flat or conical shell. Doing this would make it much easier for others to identify it. Yep, the second one is definitely a cepaea nemoralis! I own these too.

Woops! I didn't see your first post because we posted closely after one another and I didn't check back until now, but yeah you're perfectly right about the spots on their shell. I can't believe I found shells of these snails and forgot about that so quickly!
