My tank for Violet and Duro, plus some woodlice which you can't see. The wooden bridge is pretty flat to the soil to give the woodlice somewhere to chill. I also made a little rock mound, stuck together with aquarium sealant (which you can kind of make out in the corner but it's covered in moss in case the snails fall). It's also got little holes between the stones for the woodlice to go through but also gives the snails something to climb etc. Pretty happy with this set up right now while Violet and Duro are still quite small.

How do you post pictures? And where do you guys get your soil from? I can't bake mine because my mom won't let me and plus most of the substrate in my yard is sand

I buy loose coco fiber at a pet store. It is for reptiles but it is great for snails.

Completely forgot about this! This is my 10 gallon and critter keeper. The 10 gallon houses 3 Cornu aspersum and 5 Zachrysia provisoria, but I will hopefully this weekend be going to my bf's parents house and picking up our old 29 gallon so I can put the aspersum in there as the babies are getting big so quickly! The critter keeper currently has about 38, two week old aspersum. There was 40, but I've found two dead ones so far eaten by the others.

Very nice! Be careful of rocks though as snails can fall and break there shells on them.

Im a very new owner, I adopted my garden snail- Shelby, earlier today. He currently lives in a plastic box with holes in the lid but I'm saving up to buy a 7" terrarium. I was wondering if someone more experienced thinks that's big enough. I've filled if with a layer of soil from my garden and a layer of grass, with a couple of leaves, one of which folds over to create a hiding spot.

One of many setups. This one is for the smaller Tiger snails. I couldn't be bothered to spray every hour since these things are awful for keeping humidity up, I spent £100+ on a automatic rain system and made my own dripper. It's all working brilliantly so far. I don't know if it's worth mentioning I don't use a heat mat or any other heat source for any of my snails. My heating is on 24/7 for some reason and the room never gets below 24.

Some stunning tanks, here. One of mine... on a good day! Most of the gang are fast asleep & out of sight with a couple of exceptions.

Do your cepaea, h aspersa and fulicas live together all the time? Have you ever had any big snail vs little snail problems? I didn't think the itty bitty species could live with GALS but your setup seems to say otherwise! I'm assuming the cepaea and h aspersa you have in there are captive-bred?

Welp. I offered to babysit the school GALS for the summer holidays and I've had him for less than a week and I've accidentally fallen in love with him (I might never want to give him back!!). He was originally in an 18l tank, but I convinced my dad to visit me and travel 200 miles with our old 125l aquarium to give him more space to roam. Here is my set up at the moment: For the substrate I have him on peat-free organic compost primarily, but I've covered his hidey hole (a half buried plastic plant pot) in sphagnum moss to help with the humidity and also to provide a different texture for him to explore! I also have some coco fibre (block form) from my local exotic pet shop which I don't know whether would be more suitable than compost or just a personal preference? In terms of decor, the plant in the far corner is a home-grown bromeliad and I'm hoping to get some more plants growing soon, particularly some edibles ones such as dandelions and spider plants. I'm planning to head out tomorrow to pick up a suitably sturdy branch from the exotics shop to give him a bit more surface area to explore (thinking I'll angle it so it's propped up against the far right corner and finishes in the centre front of the tank) and purely for my own pleasure, some fake trailing ivy leaves to position at the front of the tank at the top. I'll post another picture tomorrow for you guys to see the new setup. Miscellaneous items - His water and food bowl are both shallow plastic plant pot bases (He burrowed under the food bowl today so wondering whether I should get something more weighted, but I'm anxious not to have anything too hard in the tank he could crack his shell on if he happens to fall) and the underwater landscape is a throwback to when the tank used to be an aquarium. Of course, I am a brand new surrogate snail mama so let me know what you think of the set up, both what you like and areas you think could be improved upon; I'm always keen to learn. If you'd like to see more images I'll be posting some in the Pictures board tomorrow to show him off.

Just started a tank for a helix pomatia a week or two ago.. I put the snail in today.. but looking at everyone elses tanks... I'm worried mine might be to complex and to many variables to keep well. I went out into the woods and collected different plants and moss and just planted them in some organic soil. How the heck am I going to check for eggs! I almost collected a earth worm today at the same time.. but I wasn't sure. Its hard to see size, but the tank is about 40CM around. Also, not shown in photo is the lid I made from wire mesh and a climbing log. I know for a fact there are some various bugs in there... Any advice? Should I just scrap all this and go simple?

It looks beautiful! I have a lot of things in my tank too compared to others I've seen. There are quite some different insects in there too. Tiny spiders, bugs, worms and mites. But those don't seem to pose a problem other than the fact that I get tiny spider webs in my tank. However it does give me a hard time keeping track of the one baby snail I have. The reason it's manageable for be is because I can easily reach everything when I take off the lid. So for your tank, I think you decorated it beautifully, but I think the vase shape might be an issue because you cannot reach everywhere. My advice would be either to keep it simple in this vase, or to move the contents to a container where you can easily reach everything.
