I did some research and apparently the borage flower has small amounts of substances that can damage the liver. This raised the question for me, do snails have livers? If so, hungariansnail, maybe your snails need some more variety in their diet. I am fascinated and will do some more research!

Hi leila, snails have an organ combining the functions of liver and pancreas, the "hepatopancreas". In adult specimens, it's located in the first (oldest) whorls. The metabolism pathways can differ biochemically from vertebrates, of course. A substance toxic for a specific animal can be harmless for another species. Kind regards: wolf
