Hello! I was just wondering if dim LED's would be a good idea for a garden snail? I like to view him at night, so this sounds like a great idea. Thoughts??

Hey snailpers0n! I wouldn't advise putting LEDs in or around a garden snail's enclosure, light at night will disturb their day/night cycle and could make them more inactive as they tend to come out only when its dark. Sorry to disappoint!

It's alright! Do you know any other safe alternatives?

Garden snails do not require additional lighting. Indirect sunlight is good enough.

I was asking because snails are more active at night and I would like to watch him easily.

I do not know if this is helpful: a snail's eye ist not sensitive to orange and red. You could use the red LED of a bicycle backlight. The snail will not notice the light and will not be disturbed.
