Could everyone change their user names to their real names, because it gets a little confusing sometimes wondering whether you are talking to a male or female etc, and harder to ask people questions and stuff

Erm...There is a gender section on your profile...I know some people don't fill that section in but most of us do.

Yeah but you must admit it is easier, or at least you could sign your replies with your names

Ok I understand your point. But...lol...all you have to do is glance across to the left and there you are, you see male or female written on the profile!

We don't want to have to write out the user names everytime we want to let someone know we are talking to them. Like with um... damn I've forgotten now. Rach was it? With the long gastropod name or something lol. Probably totally mixed up but I know someone had a hella long name! lol And I'm rubbish with real names unless they are right there in front of me. So it's a very good point.

It is a valid point, I get mixed up sometimes, perhaps for those who don't wish to change their alias they could put their real name under their avatar or in the signature?

well then mabey somone should start a new thread saying your old name then your new name, if people do change there name, but will that be a bigger hastle then before?

That's a good point, and also names are far less unique than aliases.

Avatars change with moods thankyou Get over it I was on your side here, so don't be a moo. - Yes Lisa I nicked your word rofl. And I'm not the only one who changes mine often. Arno changes his whenever the kid gets cuter. (You told her about that yet Arno!? ) It changed twice this week because the other one had swearing in As for the username/real name thread Daniel suggested, could we pin one somewhere with a list of our usernames and real names so that if people forget they can look it up easily?

If I wanted to really annoy her I would have changed it again (To reflect my new mood >=/). But I'm behaving. For now Does anyone think it's worth making that thread then?

it would be a bit of work though if you were writing a messege and you suddenly needed a name but you have to go all the way back and look for the thread just to find a name

whats so difficult about using your name anyway, why do you need your name to be 'sillymoo' or whatever, what good comes out of it?

That's what favourites/bookmarks are for. Can shove the pinned thread in there, and just open it in another window when you need a name.
Anyway, it's the same with avas and signatures. People want what they want because they want it lol.
But I do think it would make it easier Sarah, you're not alone with that don't worry lol.
