Here's a place to post your poems and stories about snails, your drawings and paintings of snails, or pics of your snail sculptures. Have you written a play or a song about snails? Post it here! ;D Do you make origami snails? Take a pic and post it here! ;D Anything creative involving snails, this is the place to post it.

Thanks! Here are two needle felted snails. I was going to make them into brooches by attaching the pin to the backside, then decided they look too childish to be worn by a 30 year old. Attachments:

Very nice, Fabrizio! I'd like to see the snail that would live in that shell! ;D

Thank you very much, Coyote and Ness I'm afraid the actual snail wouldn't spend an easy life, with such a cumbersome shell to carry along! ...Yet there are real species, with possibly even more "crazy" shells, as Opisthostoma vermiculum (and related ones...) Nevertheless, they manage quite well to survive! ....I'll try to guess and depict the actual snail, next time.. In the meanwhile, I have other works of mine (paintings), involving snails, at least as "shells", if you like!

I have written a non-fictional book about snails and am actually looking for someone who is a snail lover to read it for book end quotes.
If anyone is interested, please do respond to this thread. Please let me know your qualifications. I will send you email information. I can send you a PDF copy of my book to read and review.
Thanks,

Welcome to the forum. Your snails are very cute, I've just taken a look at your work on the link you gave. It's a clever idea using a spinning platform (I'm not sure of the official term) to create the shell

Geat works, Dawncrothersnails The style reminds vaguely to me, the way of using colours of the "Transavanguardia" painting movement (mostly around the '70, if I'm not wrong). How did you choose, to represent snails? -And very nice the "snail work" of Alexandra, too! Was it a real breadloaf? Quite suggestive anyhow... -I too do portray snails (or their shells) in painting, together with other living beings; I'll put later some!

Someone, in a moment of randomness, asked me to draw 2 snails wearing tophats on horseback fighting with spoons in the rain. So I did, and here it is... Done on MS paint, incase anyone was wondering.
