The thing is though, it is often more than one pigment that gives the colour and as far as I can tell in snails, an albino is one that has the lack of one or more pigments in either shell or body or both.
So often, albinos are not completely colourless.

A true albino would lack all pigments, but that don't have to mean that the animal is white:-) Blood, muscles and other things would still give the animal some color. Look at albino rabbits for example - bright red eyes:-)
And there are several forms om "partial" albinos in for example reptiles . The most common would be amelanistic - animals who lack the black pigment melanin.
Mammals only have one pigment - melanin. So an amelanistic rabbit or human is also a true albino:-) Yes - even a red fox only have black pigments! How many (and which) pigments a snail has I don't know - but I would like to hear about it if anyone does.

How big would they be? I'm looking for another Margie but smaller than Freddie as I want to watch it grow.

If were talking adult specimins, I'd take 2 also. But not that much for juvenilles.

If it looks like that I'm not interested.
And I wouldn't call it albino either - not with all that color in the shell and on the body, it even has the stripe on the "back"! Probably just a local variation. Maybe not even that, even closely related humans can look quite different:-)

Megaernst, what would you call the snail if not an albino? Albinism ARE animals lacking one or several pigments. And the eyes of a rabbit aren't red, they only appear to be red because the underlying blood vessels are showing through were there aren't enough pigments to cover them. And the fact that animals only have one pigment is false. Animals have several pigments, which melanin is one of them but there are others as well such as hemoglobin. Read more here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigment#List_of_pigmentsBest wishes Fredrik

"And the fact that animals only have one pigment is false."
And I never said that. I said that mammals (däggdjur) only have one pigment - melanin. Of course meaning in the skin, hair, eyes etc that we can see. How and where these pigment-"cells" are placed give the animal its (appearance of) color.
And I still say that an albino lack all pigment "on the surface", you could find alot information if you surf the web and visit pages about cornsnake-morphs.
Tha snail in the picture? I'd call it blonde....

Ok, my fault, I should have said mammals, but the fact that mammals only have one pigment is false. It's true that the skin contains melanin, I'm not saying that, what I'm saying is that mammals do have several pigments and not only melanin. And please, don't try to petronize me, I know the meaning of the word mammals and I'm well aware of albinism in reptiles.

I'm not patronizing, I was trying to be helpful. Obviously a mistake. Sorry - won't happen again.
BTW - you are still wrong.
I'm not wasting any more of my time trying to clear up the confusion about this subject that exists on this forum. Keep calling your light colored snail "albinos", it really doesn't make any difference anyway.
If anyone really has an interest in getting it right all the information needed is available on the internet.....
