A very beautiful snail, and a beautiful name too! I think one of the shells I found earlier might be of this species, which would mean I should have live ones around too

I saw the shell... It looks a bit like a Helix Pomatia to me. I could be wrong, however. Maybe you can find some live ones outside! I recommend leaving out cabbage or lettuce in a moist place with hiding places. You'll find some soon enough!

I like to allow snails here to hide as much as they can. However, there are plenty of spots in the garden where there are tons of snails. Especially after some rain they're all over the place! I don't think it's Helix Pomatia as those don't live in the Netherlands as far as I know. This species though, I wouldn't be sure.

Ah, well, you can't persuade everyone to love snails as much as we do . If you can post multiple different angles of the shell in its own thread, you could get it identified. It would be nice to know. I don't know if I said in this thread, but Tea is a Mesodon Thyroidus, or White-Lip Globe Snail.

How nice of you to ask about Hazel ^_^ She's still not doing great. I noticed a mite on her again which I attempted to remove, not sure if I succeeded this time (they're so tiny!). When I was trying to take off the mite, she seemed quite lively, but before that, she was retracted quite deep into her shell again. This morning she fell off the branch I found her on when I woke up. She made friends (kissed? not sure what they did!) with one of the new snails I added today. At the moment she is napping deep in her shell again.. Not much better, but not really worse either

That could be a good sign.

That could be a good sign. I'm not entirely certain what mating looks like. I don't think they did, they only touched heads. She also did that earlier with Morpheus. I am not sure if it was friendly either.. I haven't seen much interactive behavior between my snails yet, they seem like quite a bunch of happy singles
