Mmmmm interesting , well I'll end up ordering some anyway .... probably have the order off in the next 10 days when I've accumilated their hideous minimum order value.
LOL ... I'll have to do looking into that first list of decor that i put up coz a lot of that is expensive so i aint gonna take risks with that.

Just came across these in one of my suppliers , is any of this stuff any good for invert people?? It's listed under vivarium decor away from the fake plants section so I assume that it's all real stuff ..... What fake stuff can you get? I'm looking for branches for my tanks (like the Repti-vine but thicker and doesn't need to be bendy, although that's a plus). Can't stand mopani/bogwood "real" for fishtanks or for the snail tanks *lol*, but would love something similar shape but resin or similar so they can climb without it going mouldy.

D'oh just read the post below the one I quoted, sorry!
Damn - really wanted something thicker than the vine stuff. Fish tank decors are too chunky or are tunnels, can't win!
Maybe I'll fashion something out of drainpipe.....

How much can you get the silk ones for? We buy them for the snails and fish tanks and we need a few more. Also I'd be interested in the price of the jungle vines ;D I think the "large" jungle vine is only 1.5cm thick So too thin for my snailies. They're quite long though - I think they're 1.8 metres? That rings a bell from ebay descriptions - will check that out....

Right done a bit of research on this lot , looks like a majority that stuff is fake with exception to the first 3 items .... that Mopani wood is bloody expensive and i have to buy in 20Kg bundles ... so as inverts aren't going to use it I think i shall be leaving that one alone for a while ... the rain forest substrate I shall get in though because that looks good. The bendy vines I'll also get in .. and also some vivarium hides that i've noticed ... they look interesting but we'll see. Ceiron , still trying to find a good courier .... they only come into the picture above about 8 Kg ... if you see anything for around the 6 or 7 quid mark then please let me know. Daz

Yeah my mum paid quite a bit for the two small pieces we have.
I'm deffo interested in all 3 silk plants Daz, still unsure of what sizes though, a couple of bendy vines would be nice and that rainforest substrate if it is leaf litter stuff. I say if 'cause when I searched for it all I got up was a bark one and I've got some of that spare so don't need it lol How much are the pet grips?

Sian , I'll get that kind of stuff in also ... probably a variety and then you can the see pics and take it from there What on earth are those pet grips anyway? I haven't researched those , you obviously know what they are lol Looking at the listing I would say they'll be a touch over 2 quid ... maybe 2.10 Cheers Daz

Well I know what the second lot of the plastic and silk plants look like for sure, the first lot I think will be the same as on here as you've said they are fake?: www.everythingforpets.com/category/use.dept.996/, it's just the substrate I'm not sure on 'cause of my searches. The pet grips as far as I know are grips on suction cups to hold things like lettuce etc. I think lol.

LOL Linda - I'm forever amazed at the things that come out of that lad in the petshop's mouth. He comes across as a right numpty! Sounds like you and Daz have similar humour to me and Baz As for age gaps - nowt wrong with that at all ;D Mind you if I was in your shoes and someone said "Here carry this for your mum", I'd say "He's not my son, he's my toy boy sex slave! You think I look older than him? I'm just worn out from all the lovin'!" ;D ;D

LOL you do sound like our lot ;D Can I ask a product question? What's the difference between the special cereal mix and the snail mix? Also, does anyone know how much pumpkin seed I'd have to buy to treat two wild caught adult margies? Not got them yet though - just planning a shopping list in advance *lol* like the Yorkshire moth-wallet I am

Right I am being Daz's secretary today he says snail mix has oyster shell in it and cereal mix doesnt he says thats more for millipedes etc..not to say that snails cant eat it but it does not have the calcium content in it..now on to the margies..he says if you want when you get them he can do you a special mix with increased pumpkin content if you want...drop him a PM...Linda

Also, does anyone know how much pumpkin seed I'd have to buy to treat two wild caught adult margies? We don't have any evidence that pumpkin successfully deworms snails but there are articles about it deworming fish so it is possible. I've used it as a treatment but I couldn't confirm if my wild caught snails had worms in the first place. The few people who thought they did have worm-ridden snails never got back to us about it. But... it's certainly worth trying and also, it is very nutritious. It's actually my wild tigers' favourite food.

Aaah right Paul, thanks for that info. I'll still ask Daz to mix some in with the snail mix, either way, it's nutritious so may as well give it a go

Hi Ceiron
Well to be honest with you I don't know a vast amount about millipedes so the oyster shell was left out due to the fact that I wasn't sure if a millipede could cope with eating it , obviously I don't want to sell something that could potentially harm some ones pet. We know that snails can distend their stomaches to accomodate larger pieces but I'm unsure about millipedes.
Obviously the oyster has been thouroughly tested on snails so we know they are okay with it , I don't personally have millipedes and i wouldn't want to put anyones pet at risk by suggesting that they try it for me.
The snail mix is intended to be a balanced diet because we have a rough idea of the calcium dietary requirements of snails, whereas no such "claim" is made for the cereal mix. It is intended to be a base mix or a simple food supplement because I know it is suitable and safe for millipedes but with oyster shell I can't be sure.
My mixes are based on Paul's food research, so obviously I know Oyster shell is safe for snails but millipedes is another story , I would happy to make a mix for millipedes including oyster if you care to advise me further and any other ingredients for millipedes would be helpful too.
Many thanks
Daz
