They aren't achatina achatina as they have too much of a pointy shell. They could be some fulica crossbreed x

Unfortunately a couple month ago they passed away. I think it was down to the heat mat not heating up enough and the fact that I had a really bad winter (don't have central heating so it gets rather cold)

Velvets and leatherleaf are same species just different types, pancake slugs are completely different species and grow bigger x

It's normal for them to have forked tentacles, I have 4 and they all have it, my pancake slug also has it x

They are semi slugs I think because part of their body actually moves to cover part of the outside of their shell x

I keep about 5 species of slugs, they have the same care as snails except my leopard slugs as they will eat each other as soon as they get the chance so they have to be fed protein more regularly than others, I do this by feeding them wet fish flakes and sweet potato, I started off with 7 adults and was left with 2 but they successfully bred and had babies and out of 30-40 babies only 15 managed to not eat each other x

So I was quite suprised the other day when I found a decent sized egg batch in with my tropical leather leaf slugs and been finding more and more batches each time I check. It's rather exciting

They aren't that slimey compared to other species x That's nice to know. i was basing my assumption on the first photo where they look a little sticky just gorgeous snails you must be very proud I think they only look slimey in that photo because they produce slime from the end of their tails x

They are fairly easy to keep and not entirely sure, somewhere in Asia but my 3 were captive bred by someone in the UK and I was lucky enough to get some x
