I probably wouldnt give any biscuits, liquorish or garlic to the snails, I doubt they'd eat the last two anyway. They seem perfectly able to tolerate the sugar and salt in cookies and biscuits but Im really not convinced that it's good for them, and there are loads of healthy treats they love. I believe that garlic is poisonous to snails and they will stay as far from it as possible. I've heard of people using it to deter slugs and snails. I think the rest are all fine but I wonder if the snail would be able to digest the sesame seeds, the seeds are so small that they may swallow them whole and they may pass straight through them... Im not 100% sure if this is the case though!
Would love for someone to confirm beetroot for me because it looks like a really fun treat! Don't use the beetroot pickled in brine or vinegar though. I hope this helped!

I have found that these eggs take quite a long time to hatch, I have always buried them thought. My problem seems to be with the young snails once they hatch!

I have lowered the price as I really need to rehome these guys due to lack of space. These are my favourite snail species due to their friendliness, and ability to live well with other species. Very easy to care for as well!

The amount of calcium in milk is not really that remarkable. Even less so when diluted, plus that would start to smell after a while. The othed suggestions are good, and you could also researd the highest calcium containing vegetables as I think some of the dark leafy green veg contain quite a lot, I'm not sure it will be enough though.

Haven't got a tape measure to hand to visualise the size of your tank! The petsnails has a tank calculator on it though, I've found it helpful. Personally I do not believe that inbreeding causes half the problems that some people would have you think. Snails naturally live in family groups and inbreed even in the wild, I've read a little about captive inbreeding and it appears to take many many generations before causing any problems, usually slightly smaller size. Inbreeding does however cause significant issues if the siblings have bad genetics, such as shell problems or proneness to diseases. The problem to me is that some bad genes are obvious whereas others are hard to see as they may not become apparent until later in life after the snails have mated. My opinion is that when done responsibly and by someone well informed, the owner should know whether or not the snails are healthy and when it is wise to introduce new genes to the mix. I hope this helps you, these are all just my opinions though and hopefully others will chime in so you have more information to form your own from

Mine don't seem to like iceberg or little gem lettuce much for some reason, this is the only lettuce I can get them to eat!
You're right about them leaving any other food if there's romaine lettuce around, I'm thinking it may be a good option for weak and underweight snails.

Hey everyone, Just noticed tonight while putting food in all of my 7 tanks, that all my snails seem to go mad for cos lettuce! Some of them (albopictas and fulica) were hollowing out a cucumber but when I put the lettuce in the other side of the tank they all instantly went over there to eat it! some of the babies born in the adult tank hitched a ride on their parents backs! all 50 baby fulica and 30 albopictas in the baby tanks have cometely covered the lettuce and are munching through it, and even my usually slow, uninterested Helix pomatia ditched the cucumber and made their way to the lettuce in minutes! It's really great to watch. Imagine how many snails you'd have in your garden if you grew it! Do your snails do the same with cos lettuce? or is there another treat they go crazy for? It's definitely worth trying them with it! (Im getting through about 4 in a week though )

Courgette doesn't spoil too quickly in my experience, try sprinkling calcium powder or powdered cuttlefish on top of the food as this keeps it a little drier.

Sorry I didn't get back to you! I've been on the board but somehow didn't see that you had posted here. They are quite a bit smaller than adults, but they are big enough with strong enough shells to live with adults, just be sure that they get a fair share of the food I'll measure one later for you as it's been a while since they were last measured. They are growing really fast at the moment!

If the snails are fit and healthy, they should be okay if you leave them enough food to at least last a few nights they will likely be fine as snails can actually live a very long time without food and can eat a small amount of soil too. However I wouldn't recommend this if you can any health concerns about them at all, weak snails that need a lot of hand feeding to keep their weight up are of course not suitable, and there is always the possibility that the snails have health issues that you don't know about. So it's up to you if they feel they would be okay! I often leave mine for several days and it hasn't caused them any problems.
I would snail-sit them but the post is probably a lot more dangerous than staying at home haha!

Are you sure the snail over heated? Most African snails can easily deal with temperatures of over 28°, so they should be fine on a warm day and don't really need air con. Was the tank in direct sunlight? If so, it is more important to move the tank at least partially out of the sun because of the "magnifying glass on an ant" effect that a glass or plastic tank wall can have on the snails if the sun is blazing through it.
You could use a hygrometer to help you decide if the temperature in the tank is too high, if it is normal than your snail may have had a very sudden onset of deep retraction syndrome, or some sort of acute infection that could kill suddenly before you'd have time to notice symptoms.
Hope this helped a bit!

Awh wow I bet they look adorable! I think that's a brilliant price. I havent seen any for sale to compare either but I was expecting them to cost more so I think you'll have no trouble rehoming them.

Snails can go a while without eating so don't panic! You have some time to figure it out. Do however keep an eye out for weight loss. Have you tried feeding him mushy foods? Some people make soups for their snails and others buy powdered foods to be rehydrated into a mush, often snails go mad for this.
Snails sometimes go through a cycle of eating dirt, then food, he may be temporarily filling up on substrate and calcium.
Hope he gets hungry soon!

I bought my parent snails from a seller on EBay over a year ago. The seller assured me that the snails had only been kept with other albinos for the 3 generations he had kept them if that's what you were wondering let me know if there's anything else you need to know!

I couldn't get mine to eat it, but I think it's safe. A member here has told me before that he has fed it safely to his snails.

Personally I think it would be better if people used the image storing sites. I've uploaded hundreds of pictures onto imageshack.us for free and never had a problem, it also means we can put multiple images onto one post. I think a few people are unsure how to use those websites though.

Sorry to hear that! Mine are so far doing okay, however I do think they will need some grass to hide in and climb up so Ive ordered some grass seed. I have to spray them quite regularly to keep it humid enough for then, I think this will be less of a problem when the grass has grown in there. I took a photo but my phone has broken so I'll have to upload it once its been repaired. I've lined the bottom of the tank with an inch or two of stones, and filled it with water to the same level. On top of the stones there is a few inches of soil that slopes down at one side so there is a small pool of water, then I filled the pool with spaghnum moss so that none of them will drown in it, and I planted a few chunks of moss around and put a hand full of grass for them to hide in
